1. Acceptance

By using oof (Oof Money), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What oof Does

oof is a personal finance tracking tool. It helps you see where your money goes, set savings goals, and get AI-generated insights. oof is not a financial advisor. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, or tax advice.

3. Your Account

You must provide a valid email (or authenticate with Sign in with Apple) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login secure. One account per person — don't share credentials.

4. Bank Connections

Bank connections are powered by Plaid. By connecting a bank, you authorize Plaid to access your transaction data on your behalf. oof never sees or stores your bank login credentials.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

oof offers free and premium tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Free Features

Free users get: manual expense tracking, bank sync (where available), spending categories, safe-to-spend calculation, monthly wrapped, and 1 monthly roast. Premium unlocks: weekly AI coaching, month-end forecasts, unlimited roasts, and priority sync.

7. AI-Generated Content

Coaching, roasts, forecasts, and insights are generated by AI. They may be inaccurate, humorous, or unhelpful. Use your own judgment. oof is not liable for decisions made based on AI output.

8. Your Data

You own your data. We store it to provide the service. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

9. Acceptable Use

Don't abuse the service, reverse-engineer the app, use it for illegal purposes, or attempt to access other users' data. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

oof is provided "as is." We are not liable for any financial losses, missed payments, incorrect calculations, or decisions made based on data shown in the app. Use oof as a helpful tool, not your sole financial system.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or via email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Berlin courts, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
